TRACTORS - OTHER
This 1957 Lamborghini Lamborghinetta tractor is said to have spent time on an Italian potato farm. A refurbishment under prior ownership involved refinishing the tractor in orange and blue, and power is from an air-cooled DL 20 diesel twin linked to a three-speed dual-range manual transmission and a rear portal axle. Additional equipment includes headlights, taillights, rear half fenders, a fender-mounted toolbox, and a rear power take-off shaft.
Lamborghini Trattori was founded in 1948, and approximately 823 Lamborghinetta models were produced between 1957 and 1962. The bodywork on this example was repainted orange under prior ownership, while the frame, running gear, and suspension have been refinished in blue. Details include headlights, taillights, rear half fenders, a fender-mounted toolbox, a hinged engine cover, and Lamborghini badging.
The orange-finished steel wheels are accented by blue hubs and are mounted with 5.00–15 Alliance front and 9.5–24 MRL rear tires. Stopping power is provided by rear drum brakes through a hand brake with no clutch.
The operator’s station features a blue-painted steel seat with the Lamborghini script stamped across the back. Controls include a hand throttle, a two-speed range selector, a shifter, and a power take-off selector.
The three-spoke steering wheel is fitted with a Lamborghini-branded center cap and sits ahead of a painted dash panel that houses an ignition switch, an oil pressure gauge, a starter button, and a lubricant placard. No hour meter is fitted, and total operating hours are unknown.
The DL 20 air-cooled diesel twin was factory rated at 21 horsepower and is equipped with Bosch mechanical fuel injection. Service under prior ownership reportedly involved flushing the fuel as well as replacing the fuel primer valve and scavenge hoses.
The chassis tag shows the year of manufacture, engine type, engine number, and peak horsepower.
